Chest of faith and culture has become a symbol of art history in Extremadura declared a Historic-Artistic Monument on June 3, 1931.

This Gothic church with Baroque additions whose works lasted from the late fifteenth century to conclude in the eighteenth century, stands majestically in the southern part of the City of Coria, on the remains of primitive Romanesque and Visigoth basilicas and just where was the southern stretch of the old Roman wall.
